Gratitude Spiral: Day 350

Today, I’m grateful for a new garden bed area all ready for winter.

I started clearing a section of the lawn this summer, in order to expand my garden footprint. But plans got put on hold and I needed to cover it for the winter. Many leaves, paper bags, and cardboard boxes later, it’s now settled until next spring when the project will hopefully be completed.

Gratitude Spiral: Day 306

Today, I’m grateful for the resources to expand my garden.

We have enough room in our yard to carve out some more garden space and the tools and time it takes to get the job done. I’m thankful for those blessings. And excited for the final results.

Gratitude Spiral: Day 296

Today, I’m grateful for the never-ending list of tasks for home & yard upkeep.

It’d be a lot easier to complain about such a list. But the fact that I have a home and a yard to care for is a blessing. So, I’m grateful for the cleaning, painting, repairing, weeding, landscaping, and everything in between. 🙂

Gratitude Spiral: Day 275

Today, I’m grateful for a delivery of rocks from the local home improvement store.

If all goes well, getting these rocks means finishing an outdoor landscaping project that’s been on hold. I’m looking forward to it. 🙂

Gratitude Spiral: Day 251

Today, I’m grateful for the time and energy for a small landscaping project.

This strange season of relative isolation due to a global pandemic has left many of us at home with time on our hands. Sometimes it’s hard to focus and channel our energy into being productive (or creative). There are projects, large and small, on our wish lists. One of mine is to upgrade an area under a tree in my front yard where nothing grows well. The project is finally begun! 🙂
